Peer Review Policy

Nova Integrata: Journal of Multidisciplinary Studies (NIJMS) is committed to maintaining a rigorous and transparent peer review process to ensure the quality, integrity, and originality of published research.

1.     Type of Review
NIJMS employs a triple-blind peer review system, where both the reviewers and authors remain anonymous throughout the review process to ensure impartial and unbiased evaluations.

2.     Reviewer Selection

o   Reviewers are selected based on their subject expertise, publication record, and familiarity with the manuscript’s research area.

o   The editorial board ensures there is no conflict of interest between the authors and the reviewers.

3.     Review Process

o   Initial Screening: The Editor-in-Chief and/or Associate Editors assess the manuscript for scope, formatting, and compliance with submission guidelines.

o   Peer Review: Suitable manuscripts are sent to a minimum of three independent reviewers.

o   Evaluation Criteria: Reviewers assess manuscripts for originality, relevance, methodological rigor, ethical compliance, clarity, and contribution to the field.

o   Recommendations: Reviewers may recommend acceptanceminor revisionmajor revision, or rejection.

4.     Revision and Resubmission

o   Authors are expected to address all reviewer comments in detail and submit a revised manuscript along with a point-by-point response.

o   Revised manuscripts may be sent back to the original reviewers for re-evaluation if necessary.

5.     Decision-Making

o   The final decision is made by the Editor-in-Chief, based on reviewers’ recommendations and the journal’s editorial standards.

o   In cases of conflicting reviews, a third reviewer may be consulted.

6.     Reviewer Ethics
Reviewers must:

o   Maintain confidentiality of the manuscript and review process.

o   Declare any potential conflicts of interest.

o   Provide constructive, objective, and timely feedback.

Appeals
Authors may appeal editorial decisions by providing a written justification. The appeal will be reviewed by the editorial board, whose decision will be final
